KUAKMER KUSADASI

Kuşadası Fatma Özel Arabul Culture Center

Opened in collaboration with Kuşadası Municipality and KEGEV, the Kuşadası Fatma Özel Arabul Culture Center (KUAKMER) serves as both a city archive and museum, preserving the memory of Kuşadası while also significantly contributing to the town’s cultural and artistic life through its unique architectural features.

Named after the poet and writer Fatma Özel Arabul, who passed away in 2014, KUAKMER is dedicated to showcasing and promoting the history and culture of Kuşadası. The museum’s collection, which highlights the historical and cultural values of Kuşadası and its surroundings, has been enriched over time through donations, acquisitions, and research.

Exhibits in the two-story building are primarily displayed in specially illuminated glass cabinets. The exhibitions are presented in both English and Turkish, but visitors can also enjoy them through visual and auditory experiences upon request. Additionally, the museum features a memorial library, offering a wealth of knowledge and resources.
KUAKMER’s exhibitions are thoughtfully curated to provide insights into the diverse cultural heritage of Kuşadası and its surroundings. The museum features a variety of artifacts, including ancient relics, traditional costumes, and historical documents, each telling a story of the town’s vibrant past.

Beyond its historical exhibits, KUAKMER is also a vibrant center for contemporary arts. The museum regularly hosts art exhibitions, workshops, and cultural events, making it a dynamic space where tradition meets innovation. Whether you’re an art enthusiast or a history buff, KUAKMER offers something for everyone. To fully immerse yourself in the history of Kuşadası, a visit to this magnificent building is a must.
