THE FORTRESS GATE – KALE KAPISI is one of the symbols of Kuşadası and is part of the city walls built by Konevi Mehmet Pasha in the 17th century. Known as the south gate, it was once used as an upper-level station. This square-shaped tower is likely one of the three main city entrance gates from the Ottoman period. According to local legend, those who pass under this castle gate can never leave Kuşadası again and become permanent residents. Today, this magnificently preserved structure is used as the “Kuşadası Municipality Necati Korkmaz Micro Miniature Art Centre and Museum,” showcasing over 40 micro miniature artworks, some of which are recognized as the smallest artworks in the world.This exhibition center, the third of its kind globally, is set within the unique historical context of the 17th century and can be visited seven days a week for a modern art experience in a setting over two centuries old.

THE OKUZ MEHMET PASHA CARAVASERAI, located near the Kuşadası Pier, is a significant historical structure built in 1618 by order of the grand vizier Öküz Mehmet Pasha. This remarkable building, resembling a small inner castle, is a testament to the architectural prowess of the Ottoman period.

IBRAMAKI ART GALLERY was  constructed by Kuşadası gentry İbrahim Zeki Efendi towards late 19th century and was restored by Kuşadası Municipality in 2009. The Ibramaki Art Galleri was reopened for cultural and artistic activities and hosts various activities such as painting, photography, sculpture, ceramic exhibitions, music, poetry, concerts, creative drama courses.It is situated on the sea side , 100 meters away from the GRAND BAZAAR and CARAVANSERI.

THE KALEICI MOSQUEE  was constructed in 1618 during the reconstruction of the city under Grand Vizier Öküz Mehmet Pasha. Since it was completed and opened for worship a year before the Grand Vizier’s death, it is also known as the Öküz Mehmet Pasha Mosque. The mosque underwent significant restoration in 1830. Its single minaret is located on the right side. The entrance doors are adorned with geometric patterns and mother-of-pearl inlays.

GAZIBEGENDI HILL is a popular spot in Kuşadası, where visitors can enjoy a meal or a drink at the café run by the municipality. It’s the perfect place to relax and take in the stunning scenery. The hill also features a free car park, and it’s easily accessible by car or one of the many minibusses (dolmuş) that pass by the city Hospital

OLD TANNERIES  tucked within the labyrinthine lanes of Kuşadası’s historic district stands Old Town Tanneries, a relic of the town’s industrious past. Established in the late 19th century, during a period of burgeoning commerce, the tanneries emerged as vital hubs of leather production, mirroring the town’s rise as a maritime trading hub along the Aegean coast.

LOCAL MARKETS Kusadasi has historically been a bustling hub for commerce, attracting traders and locals alike in search of unique goods. Today, visitors to Istanbul can also enjoy an exceptional shopping experience, with a wide variety of items to discover.
 There’s a Friday market located right across from the main coach station, where local vendors sell fresh vegetables and foods. The same market takes place on Tuesday as well. On Wednesday, however, the market shifts its focus and offers clothes, t-shirts, shoes, and more.
